Endoscopic Plantarfasciotomy:
Minimal Incision Treatment for Heel Pain
Endoscopic PlantarFasciotomy is a minimal incision
(small 4mm hole) technique that uses a video camera to assist in the
release of a chronically tight and injured plantarfascial ligament. The
EPF technique is preferred over traditional incision techniques because
of the rapid healing, minimal risk of infection and clinical
effectiveness. Reduction of heel pain usually subsides within days of
the surgery. All insurances cover this procedure and therefore it
has become a popular method of relieving heel pain that has not
responded to conservative methods (orthotics, injections, etc.).
Shock Wave Therapy: The
Advanced Treatment for Heel Pain / Plantarfasciitis / Achilles
Tendonitis
Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy (ESWT) is the
latest treatment regimen for non-resolving heel pain and is gaining in
popularity since it is completely non-invasive (no incisions) /
non-surgical. Developed in Germany over a decade ago, ESWT has been used
primarily for the dissolving of kidneys stones (lithotripsy). 6 years
ago ESWT for orthopedic use was approved for use in the U.S. Medical
research has revealed the effectiveness of ESWT to be as successful as
surgery. This new innovation is now the preferred technology for heel
pain treatment resistant to conservative methods.
The Answer is Extra Corporeal
Shock Wave Therapy (ESWT) Heel Pain Treatment...

You've probably heard of the new technology that eliminates kidney
stones through the use of soundwaves known as Lithotripsy. Now that
same technology can be used to eliminate chronic heel pain (plantarfasciitis).
Our Doctors are pleased to announce that the Dolorclast and EPOS
Ultra E.S.W.T. are available in the U.S. to limited areas. Dr. David
Lee was the Founder of SoCal ESWT, has performed Shock Wave Therapy
since its introduction to the West Coast and has trained many of the
surgeons in Southern Calfornia.
- No incisions.
- No stitches.
- No casts.
- No bone or ligament surgery.
- No more heel pain.*
This procedure only takes about 20 minutes to perform and involves
no surgery. You can return to work the next day!

* FDA studies show that 81% of patients with
plantarfasciitis pain treated with ESWT showed a significant improvement
within 6-12 weeks of a single treatment. Patients treated with ESWT in
the FDA trials had heel pain at least 6 months before ESWT which had not
responded to other conservative treatments.
